Some great tips from Jim (JJCap1) on how to paint Plaid

I had to get out the magazine and look up how I did it! As has been stated already, a steady hand helps.
1) Paint base color.
2) Paint evenly spaced horizontal and vertical LIGHTER stripes.
3) Paint small LIGHTER squares where stripes overlap.
4) Paint pinstripes between the first stripes. I did red first skipping a stripe, then put white over that. I used watercolors here.
Hope this makes sense. By the way, having a small flat surface to work on helped.
