A Vero primer/reminder for dealing with eBay troubles?

#1 Post by Todd P. »

I believe someone (Ian?) once posted a Vero how-to, but I haven't run it down and I'm having a little difficulty figuring it out on eBay. So I'm being lazy and asking, can someone please tell me how to register? I haven't needed it yet, but I'd like to be prepared when I do.

Thanks.

Hey Todd - I'm a bit tired right now but I promise to sort this out for you over the weekend if somebody else doesn't beat me to it.

Very groovy. Thanks. That's the kind of info a lot of us could use, I think, given how often members are discouraged by failed efforts to shut down some auctions. EBay acts only if it gets reports from directly offended parties, so I want to be prepared when that party is me.

Hi Todd

Having reviewed the eBay-provided information, I've realised it would be better if I simplified this for everyone. I've made a start and will try to finish it tonight (or tomorrow if my tiredness finishes me off).

I haven't forgotten you, and my apologies I haven't yet got this up here as I promised.

Ian/Spike.

Heavens, no worries, Ian. I really was being lazy by asking.

Ian, thank you. I'm going to register very soon. Your help, as usual, is above and beyond. I hope others make use of it as well.

Thanks Todd - and no worries.

I hope it removes some of the confusion that may have discouraged some from registering & using the system up until now.

Could I ask a favour in return?

Please compare your registration experience to my notes and then let me know where I got anything wrong. I can then update it so we have a recently confirmed guide.

I'll then also post an example VeRO email to show folks how those look too.

Bumping this in case others are looking for it.

Keywords - eBay, VeRO, register, registration.

And all that without the need for the "comfy chair" :)
