The Karloff-Pierce Tribute kit from Janus, this one is from John's Models, which I purchased at WonderFest last year. I first learned of this kit back in 2010 and have wanted one ever since. It's funny how some sculpts just instantly grab your attention. This one certainly did that to me and now I've had the opportunity to build and paint one. I took a little artist license and added the cigarette in his hand because when you place the newspaper there it hides most of Karloff's face.

Everything from painting skill, color choices, to photography is perfect. A real work of art. And a good choice on the cigarette.
Interesting fact: I read that the band around the left wrist was a last minute application of a rubber band to hold down the pesky electrode. Pierce didn't think it would be noticed.

Then, we are both crazy. The chair is painted so well that you can't take your eyes off it.

This is simply amazing. The kit is superb in it's own right, but your build is incredible. Not to take away from anything else, but I really love both pants.

Really nice work on this… the head looks different than the other kits did you modify it? Is it a different sculpt?

I did not make any alterations to either head. I didn’t notice anything different from the other kits I’ve seen. Thanks!
