Kyle Reese - done

#1 Post by KathyD »

Finished today, Kyle Reese bust from Alaneye. Lovely kit, not too much preparation and a joy to paint.

He looks really good. I wished HT did a 1/6 scale of him.

Thank you for the kind words...

Striped t-shirt - was painted light grey then used a fine masking tape (used mainly for model cars I think) to lay out stripes and sprayed darker grey over the top. Took most of an afternoon to get the stripes level but I was pleased with the result.

"beard" - Alaneye's painted version had heavier stubble airbrushed, which I liked a lot but my airbrush skills are not that good so went with dark grey pastel.

The phots look good, in 'The flesh' it is a fantastic paint job and even better than what you see in the photos :D .

Kyle's stubble using pastels is imho, top notch and an air-brush wouldn't have improved it.
