Striped t-shirt - was painted light grey then used a fine masking tape (used mainly for model cars I think) to lay out stripes and sprayed darker grey over the top. Took most of an afternoon to get the stripes level but I was pleased with the result.
"beard" - Alaneye's painted version had heavier stubble airbrushed, which I liked a lot but my airbrush skills are not that good so went with dark grey pastel.

The phots look good, in 'The flesh' it is a fantastic paint job and even better than what you see in the photos
.
Kyle's stubble using pastels is imho, top notch and an air-brush wouldn't have improved it.
