40's Fankenstein
Tried to use some stuff from the movie (rubber band on left wrist to hold down electrode) and Mary Shelley (pale yellow skin , so thin that the veins shown through). Really doesn't show up in the photos. I just couldn't get myself to do another green skin and black suit. Although, those that chose that did come out much better than my attempt. But, to quote Kirk "It was fun"

Re: 40's Fankenstein
That looks great.
And I can see the veining on the hands. I think it came out extremely well.
And having fun, is the most important part.

Fantastic! Much better than unrealistic "green skin".

Re: 40's Fankenstein
Thank you ALL. 99% of everything I applied to this and (my stuff in the Heroes Forum) was learned from these forums. I am certainly not the artist that most who have graced these forums are, but I thank you for allowing me to learn along the way.
Again, thanks for being so kind with your comments.

Very cool. Love the skin tones and the base.

I agree. My kits were all badly-painted styrene glue-bombs before I started (virtually) coming here every day. Now I even amaze myself!spock wrote:Thank you ALL. 99% of everything I applied to this and (my stuff in the Heroes Forum) was learned from these forums. I love your color scheme. I think that's the beauty (horror?) of Frankenstein - there's a lot of different interpretations. Well done on the muddy shoes and pants - I always struggle with making shoes look beat up. The toad looks great, too.

Re: 40's Fankenstein
First let me say I enjoy adding your art to the Gallery, Denny. As far as my stuff goes I find myself relying a lot on dry brushing and pastel chalks. And thank you on the comments. It's always nice when someone else thinks your color choices aren't too far out there
