Takeya Pumpkinhead

#1 Post by modellierer »

Finally managed to paint this Takeya masterpiece from the 90s. It isn't an easy kit to build (vinyl :? ). I had to fill it with wire and resin to stabilize it. Airbrush, brushwork and a lot of washes.

Holy crap! That looks amazing.

And yeah, it looks like a nightmare to build. Especially vinyl. So many long thin pieces to fight gravity.

The paint really does this beautiful kit justice. I love all the undertones and the fantastic shading.

Geez - THAT (good Sir) is incredible Image

Without a doubt, one of the very best (if not THE best) builds I've ever seen of this in over 17 years!

That wooden base is PERFECT too.

Amazing work - and thanks so much for taking the time to share =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Amazing. Every detail brought out, nailed the color and the steps are excellent.

Thanks for all your feedback. It is very much appreciated. It is allways a challenge and a pleasure to have a great kit and try to do it justice.

Scary, creepy, incredibly well-painted (and well-thought out so you don't get the "post-build up vinyl sagging")!
