John Snow - Bastard

#1 Post by Biskup »

Recently I've finished this figure from Toison Studio company. It is 70mm in scale and represents John Snow, the bastard from the book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" and the TV series Game of Thrones.

Nicely painted. I don't know this figure (kit?) but it's a great pose.

Thank you.
You’re not missing out on anything. Wolf looked more like work in progress and the casting quality of this kit was very poor. But hey there wasn't any one on the market with John Snow when this kit came out :)

I currently have this piece on my bench, and I couldn't agree with you more! As your example amply demonstrates, however, with a little bit of effort--and a LOT of perseverance--one can have a handsome addition to the collection. . .

Thanks for sharing it with us!

The figure breathes cold ice and way down below temperature! Well done paint job on this figure (and heck, it could be modelled a bit more detailed but sometimes one have to live with the stuff we get and do a good paint job! The first thought I had was to replace the wolf with the Andrea one from the DANCE WITH THE WOLF Kit, but this is done in 54mm... Sadly). Anyway, what count is the overall view and this is very pleasing!

Thank you.
I was thinking of replacing the wolf but I couldn't find one in scale. Than I thought about resculpting the fur but to achive the the effect I would like it would be way to much work.

Really nice work. Was tempted to pick one of these up but hearing about the work involved I'm glad I didn't.

Nice work. Did you have to do much modification to the original?
