Little General's 'Western Doctor'

#1 Post by sippog »

Here's Ron Hinote's take on the Norman Rockwell painting "Is it Serious?" given a Western flavour. It's a very old, very heavy metal kit; scale somewhere between 120mm - 140mm. There were bits missing and broken so it's taken me quite a while to finish it.

Thanks Kev & Buckledresin

The little girl reminds me of Little House On The Prairie - or am I thinking of The Waltons? Always mix them up.

Lovely paint up. Particularly like the fact that you have used the same colour on the dolls dress and the rug. Your eye is drawn to all parts of the model. :D

Thanks, Ant, glad you noticed. It took me quite a while to 'see' a colour scheme for the girl and I like using a limited palette.

(BTW did your girlfriend ever paint that Raven kit I gave her?)
