Decided to fill in holes on side horns for a stronger look versus the fragile look open framework design
Cut off middle back spike to amplify side horn length
Sharpened up side horns on head
Deepened nostrils and eye sockets
Sharpened teeth in lower jaw
Lots of detailing left to do on head

Thank you Trevor !

I decided to change the angle of the back of the head.
It was sloping downward starting behind the eyes.
So I cut the back section off and reattached it level and horizontally aligned with the front of the head.
Lots of refining left to do on the head.

Continuing to refine the head
Cut out underneath and between side horns to make them more prominent.
Slimmed down back of mouth area and extended mouth lines further back.
Threw on quick layer of paint to see it all tied together .
Still more refining and detailing to do.

Thanks !
Slimmed down lower jaw and removed the tubing detail.
used tubing to make an imprint design on lower jaw.
Roughed in alien like stretched mouth tendons. Lots of detailing left to do on the tendons.
Added tubing details to back of side horns.

Cut out all the teeth and replaced them with some scratch sculpted teeth. I Like these much better.
Refined the jaw tendons. These finally give the head a much more alien like feel.
Still need to clean up the side horns and add a few more alien like details to front upper jaw.

Thanks to everyone still following this bash.
i appreciate your patience with my seemingly endless reworking of the head.
Hopefully the next update will have the finished head attached to the body.
Still debating wether or not to add wings….

Looking scarily good - can't wait to see it mounted on the body!

I enjoy watching all the different reworks.
Gives me courage to keep fixing things on my own work. You show it's good to not be afraid to tear things back a few steps if you start going in the wrong direction.

And I do really like the way the head is looking now.

Thanks B-A and Trevor.

Speaking of going backward…
I roughly attached head to the body, stepped away for a second, and then the kit fell off my work table.
Broke the tail, broke one head lobe, broke off one finger, cracked one leg and broke off one toe claw.
Could have been much worse though….
So spent today just gluing it back together.

One good thing though, this made decision that I will have to add wings as it will not balance without them.

Adding a few more details to head and evened out the side horns
Decided to try a Wyvern type look with wings attached directly to arms versus separated on the back.
So repositioned the arms.
Started making the back center alien like ridges into more dragon-like spikes
