Thank you Ian for taking the time to view these and comment on them as well !

For once , I am very happy with all the aspects of this bash .

I am currently working on painting a base (Steve west sculpted alien landscape base) for this one.
Which tells you just how much I like it, because I rarely invest a lot (or any) effort on bases for my creations.

Thanks for posting Ian.
Apparently, I missed the finish on this as well.

Looks great. Love the colors and the way they were used.

Started painting the base (sculpted by Steve West cellar cast)
Blocked in the basic colors, lots of dry brushing left to do
First time trying a lava effect , so far so good..

Nice start.

To quote from my good friend Mr. Lawrence . . . lava, rinse, repeat.

Thanks !

Refined the lava effect in the craters.
I think that the lava came out pretty good for a first try.
Have to dry brush and finish the rest of the base.
I used milliput to make places for the dragon-man’s feet to fit into and stand securely on the base .

I'll say it: "This should be a KIT!!" There. I said it. 8)

(No I am not advocating re-casting, but ... would it REALLY be a 'recast'????? Its an entirely new critter - way cooler than the bug-faced Predator in my book!!!)

Any sculptors out there wanna tackle this??? I mean I'm not a figure guy, but I WOULD buy this kit. :drool2:

Thank you for the compliment B-A.

My bashes have caused this “kit it” discussion before, so let’s be clear before the whole recast war breaks out (again).

My bashes can NOT be made into kits as they rely to heavily on other kits and their sculptors works.

I do sincerely appreciate that you believe it is worthy of being a kit though!

*Chuckle* - I know what you mean. Almost 20 years ago when I started 'bashing the big Kaiyodo vinyl dinosaurs I was approached by a kit producer (who shall go unnamed) who wanted to turn some of them into kits. I patiently explained to him the "pedigree" of the kits and he said "oh".

HOWEVER - That figure you created is fair game for a sculptor to use as INSPIRATION to sculpt a brand new kit of this new character that you created. THAT would not be a recast. And THAT is what I would buy in a heartbeat. :drool2:

(And a lot of the "usual cast of characters" on this Board, and on FB, would too, I bet!) :D
