Sideshow Custom 1/4 Angela (Comic Costume) Statue
a custom I am currently working on. based loosely on her various comic book costumes. will be mixed media. modified her factory buckle and cut a new leather belt for her with rivets. she will also have a skirt to cover her butt area since she is pretty much naked back there on my version.

I understand but dislike the changes Marvel made to fit her into their universe. This will never be Angela for me. Todd was so stupid. He should have bought the rights to her, then let Marvel "rent" the character for awhile.
Great work. If you could turn her into the "Spawn" Angela, I'd buy this statue and send her to you for customization.

Re: Sideshow Custom 1/4 Angela (Comic Costume) Statue
Back working on this project after some setbacks. Was able to complete those new ear/head pieces. Also refinished the sculpted out areas of the ab muscles and back muscles. When i sculpted those in i left a lot of holes and imperfections unfinished. From a distance you could not tell but up close you could see them so i polished them out and now i am totally happy with how smooth things look. Added more spikes to the left arm. Also put in holes on either side of the head pieces so i can attach some round earing-like spawn emblems...in the spawn comics version of Angela i often see those emblems hanging on the side but i have no idea if they are supposed to be earings or just part of the headpiece. Anyway...i will attach them to the headpiece and they will be dangling like earings. Also scuplted in some new hair bundles here and there to cover up some nasty gaps where the headpieces meet with the existing hair.
Here are some new pics after i reprimed the figure today.

Thanks.
Skin tone finally added in after a number of setbacks. As usual....cellphone cam skewing colors.

Hi Gents!
after a very very long hiatus from my project I was able to devote 2 days of work on this. i reworked the skin tone, added a quick base coat on the hair and based the armor bits in black paint to prep it for the shiny paints. some parts are not pictured like the groin armor, earrings, and buckle but they are pretty much just painted black.
i only have a 3 year old samsung phone camera with crap lighting so as you can see the pics are crap too...but you get the idea.

an update on the project after another very long time. here is what it looks like so far. based the armor in gold paint yesterday. taped up the other armor pieces just to see what it looks like so far. missing the chain link attachment for the ear rings.

some work on the weapons
final axe blade colors. darker gold tint on blade and handle...some greens added to the gold corners here and there...toned down some of the blade's shading.
preliminary colors.
