Takeya Big Alien Repaint
I stripped the prepainted statue and repositioned the arms and the fingers. Beneath the factory colour a lot of details were hidden. The paintwork is done with a lot of brown, green and blue washes and thin layers of white sprayed with an airbrush. The guy is rather big (45 cm) and heavy.

Beautiful work!! The master would be proud to see what you’ve done with his sculpt.

Thank you for your comments.
Painting this beauty was very satisfying.
Removing the dome wasn't easy but I was very careful and worked in little steps.

Don't know how I managed to miss this when you postedmodellierer wrote: . . . Removing the dome wasn't easy but I was very careful and worked in little steps . . .
Wonderful work Karl - REALLY nice!
Has a great "metallic" look to it - totally suits the sculpt & character.
You are not the first to attempt the dome removal & repaint - there are at least 3 other Clubhouse members that have done the same. Did you search here to save yourself some pain or just wing it?
