Continuing to tone down the body color to match the wings.
Working on arms and legs and still need to do chest, abs and tail.

Lightened the underside. Dry brushed arms, legs, and tail.
Next step is to permanently attach the wings and blend them into the shoulders and back.

I glued in the wings and starting to blend them in.
On the home stretch now...

Continuing to blend in the wings.
Still need to do lots of dry brushing, and finish the eyes.
Not sure I like how the right wing joins the body. I think I may need to slim it down a bit.

I see what you mean.
It kinda looks a little big, but also it could be from the was the beast is twisted.

Slimmed down the right wing to body joining upper arm and shoulder.
Still need to detail and taper a bit more the slimmed down wing arm and shoulder.

Changed fang and teeth from black to ivory.
Started painting right wing upper arm.
Still need to do more dry brushing but getting close to finishing.

Reworking (yet again) the right wing upper arm and shoulder as it was just to flat and boring.
Beefed up bicep, shoulder, and forearm to give it more visual interest.
Also reworking and beefing up the abs as they were too flat as well.
Made the centerline of abs better match and follow the twisting body line.

Since I reworked the right wing it no longer matched the left wing original Deathwing details.



So I am reworking the left wing to make them match.

Started painting the reworked wing upper arms.
Decided to lighten the chest, biceps and abs to add some contrast as it was too monochromatic.
Lots of dry brushing left to do.

Oooo!
I really like the extra 'pop' that new paint gives the kit.

I am calling it done.
Well, that was quite a bit more work than I thought it would be at the start !
