Has an "Ancient Egyptian" vibe to me - you know I love what you did with that other "Lizard Man" aka "Dragon Man". Can't wait to see where this one goes!

As I said before BA, I really like how you help me to see my bashes from a totally different perspective!
I was not sure about what type of base to create for this guy, but an Egyptian style base may be just the ticket!!
And I think maybe that JL Crinon offers an Egyptian base?
Thanks!

Yup BA, I ordered that Egyptian base from JLs website this morning. Thank you for the very helpful idea!
I have bought many bases from JL Crinon and they are all fantastic, very high quality, and very detailed. JL is very nice to deal with too.

Attached repositioned lower sword arm.
Beefed up and added veins to biceps.
Some refining and detailing left to do yet.

Threw on some primer to see it all tied together
Just a little more refining and detailing to do, and then it’s ready for painting.

The unnamed Lizard head god is looking mighty good! This one is going to come together real real fast! 😜

I think the opportunity to paint up the base in a colorful Egyptian pattern that you can see on one of the photos of that eBay listing is really going to enhance things too.

Also gives vibes of Stargate Atlantis. I'm telling you, I'm really gonna enjoy seeing this one come together!

Okay, I have to make one more suggestion, although I don't know how well it would fit the base. If you could expand the base a little bit, which would not be too much of a problem, and find/bash an appropriate human figure, you can add a guy cowering in terror about to be sliced in 2. Maybe with some looted treasure around his feet, having been surprised by the appearance of the Divine Guard. 😳

Thanks for the kind words and suggestions BA.
I do plan to try and paint a colorful Egyptian scene on the base.
But I will pass on adding human figure as I already struggle enough with the painting phase without adding the need for difficult human face and flesh painting.

👍 (Yes, yes but you could avoid painting the human's face by making it just a bloody mess - and add blood on the floor and on the blade - oooohhh - now THERE'S yet ANOTHER idea!! :rolf: )

Hope I'm not making this too hard on you - you've got me interrupting your "flow of creation" ... sorry! :bday:

Keep those ideas and suggestions coming BA!

Latest changes:
Beefed up abs.
Removed the fur from the belt and changed belt Angle.
Roughing in Egyptian style garb around his waist. Still need to thin and smooth it out.
Using some Ankh earrings as detail on the belt and on the added arm band.

Oh! Love to see you going all out on the Egyptian mode! I'm really getting stoked to see how this turns out! 👹

Those Ankh earrings really add some pop to this thing and instantly give it that Egyptian flavor! I like the belt that you're sculpting in there too.

If you don't mind, you will forgive me if I bask in the awesomeness of this bash given that I made a small contribution to it! 👺🤣

Excuse me while I interrupt this love-in. :)

I've been lurking around this thread since it first went up. It's really clever, as usual for you BD. Finding the two desperate kits that work so well together and then watching the skill of melding them.

I thought I knew where it was going...then bam! Egyptian! Cool of course and appropriate. However, when I first I saw it it shouted "Conan!", even down to the belt. I scenario-ed it as a Thulsa Doom' snake-guard facing off against Conan or Valerian.

As a side note I wonder how Medusa's upper might turn up.

Well squiddy, I piped up and you did not. So my idea grabbed Joe's imagination first! So now you can turn green with envy! 😁🤣
