Put a coat of primer on to see how it looks all tied together
Lots of refining still to do on spikes and underside

Continuing to refine and sharpen the back spikes and under armor,
May not look that different but a lot of work has going into cutting and adding back and cutting …

Changing position of tail.
This required significant cutting and now reshaping the entire length of the tail.
Cut off the tail fin thingy. I Will continue the back spikes most of way down the tail.
I may make the tail a bit shorter?

Cut off original feet and those huge claws.
Roughed in new gripping feet.
I will significantly slim them down and add smaller claws as I refine them.

I cut off and reworked all the spikes on the right side of the neck.
Continuing to refine the underside armor ridges.

Don't know how I missed this thread but this is really cool and it looks massive! Changing the wings is the best feature I like so far.

Once again, all while moving the house 3 yards to the left.

REALLY like the spikes under the neck.

Thanks everyone! I sincerely appreciate the positive feedback.

Please feel free to provide constructive criticism and suggestions for changes and improvements.

I am definitely going to shorten the tail a bit and raise it up some, but not quite as high as the original.
Waiting to attach the tail permanently until I am finished messing with the neck and body underside….
Hopefully soon.

I am going to take a slightly different approach to finishing this bash.

Usually I complete all the bashing and then paint (and repaint, and repaint, …)
But this time I am going to paint the wings separately as the large size and sharp angle of the wings would make it very difficult to paint them and the body underneath them.
After painting the wings, then I will attach them and blend them into the painted body.
This should be interesting….

Threw a coat of primer on too see how body looks all tied together.
The top part of the tail where it joins to the body looks a little too thick to me.
I will have to cut it way back to slim it down and then rework under armor.

Even though the feet need to be slimmed down, I am pretty happy with how the griping pose looks.

I added more belly ridges, but still need to make them more symmetrical

The neck side spikes work for me now, but may have to cut back the under neck spikes as neck is a bit thick.

That bit looks fine to me - gives him character - but it's YOU that needs to be happy with it.

That underside (chest/stomach) just isn't quite working for me though - but again - you know best how you want this to look.

Thanks Ian!

I always appreciate your honest feedback!

I think once I make the underside a bit more symmetrical, it will work better…hopefully ..

Are you talking about looking at it from the side?
If so, I agree, it does look a bit fat.

At first I thought you were talking about from the underside, and I couldn't see where it needed thinned.

Well . . . I won't be shy - I think leaving the tail section + neck as-is and bulking up/out the stomach would give him the heft, muscle & size those wings (and attitude/stance) deserves.

His midsection should show a bit of weight instead of being almost anorexic.

Again - just the way I would go (if I had your talent).
