Bicycle girl base finished

#1 Post by SCULLY1953 »

I've ordered the bicycle girl kit from Walking Dead that was so skillfully sculpted by Brian McGuire and released by Scott & Jane Kelley of Alternative Images.
I wanted to try and replicate the scene where she is dragging herself across the lawn towards the bicycle. Just waiting for the kit to arrive.

Thanks Steve. I grabbed a couple of Barbie bikes years ago because I snag whatever 1/6 scale stuff I can for the old parts box. They were sparkled pink and white plastic but once I cut the rivets holding them together the entire bike broke down into parts. The wheels, seat, sprockets, brake calipers...everything. This made it easy to paint individual parts in chrome and red and reconstruct the bike. I just had to add foot pedals.

Really nice conversion on the bike and a fantastic base build.

Thanks guys, I've wanted to do something like this ever since I first saw Brian's sculpt but never had the cash to get the kit. Jane Kelley just sent me a message that the kit is on it's way, I can't wait. I have a bunch of great reference pics of "Hannah" to work from.

Steve, thanks for the interest, I will definitely be posting pics.

Mike, not sure, either off of eBay or at a dollhouse miniature shop, I got them over 5 years ago and my memory isn't what it used to be.

Tommy and Bill, thanks for the kind words. I got a UPS Quantum e-mail from Jane @ AI stating that the kit would be delivered today but according to tracking only the electronic notification of a label being made is coming up so who knows when it will show up. Once it does though I will post an OOB pic of the raw casting and then some WIP pics as I paint her.
I am jonesin' bad to get my hands on this one. :drool2:
