Pleading for a lover's fee.
Shall we their fond pageant see?

That is so COOL! When I had a fish tank, I did like decorating with live plants - but this is just amazing!

Wow, those are amazing. I wonder how hard it is to clean the tanks?

I don't think they build those to last or to be sustained. I mean, you can't easily prune, trim, or mow in a fish tank.

They are impressive. Like Blade Runner replicants, not built to last, though.

Heh. I used to be into planted tanks, but I never went the Amano route. Those guys are crazy! Months of work for a picture, then they tear it down.

They do trim- a lot. They analyze the water and dose with tiny amounts of fertilizer daily or nearly so, keep the water supercharged with CO2, and use high-intensity lighting, so the plants grow super-fast and have to be trimmed constantly.

Here's some stuff that's more my speed:

The first two are paludaria (with both land and water areas) and the third is a riparium (no land, but lots of emergent plants). Still a lot of work to set up, but the maintenance is more manageable. You know, I'd never considered the possibility of combining models with live plants and real water. Hmmmm.....
