... or part of one.
I not so recently bought this humanoid lizard kit. and I was planning on putting him on a nice piece of cork bark and sort of make a wall hanging.
I then I looked again, and the scale listed was 1:35. Which would make the real size monster nearly 40 ft. tall. So the bark is out and I'm thinking about making him hang off a bldg, sort of like Ymir was hanging off the Coliseum.
I need a bldg that's at least 5 stories tall. But I don't want to model the entire building. How does one model "part" of a building w/o making the cut part look destroyed? I also want it to appear that he's climbed up and the bottom of the model building isn't the first floor. Any ideas? TIA.

I need to build a building...

Re: I need to build a building...
Here's what I did when modelling part of a rooftop for a figure base:

I made the cut-off edges a smooth curve and painted them black. It also helps to have features that extend "off the canvas", as it were: I only showed the first three letters of the "BOEING" logo, figuring that the viewer would fill in the rest himself, sort of creating the rest of the building in his mind.
If I was modelling the fifth floor of a five-story building, I think I would model a chunk of the building facade, then hang it out in space by supporting it in mid-air from behind, which I think would give a nice impression of altitude. Here's a pic of the idea:

The base would have an aerial view of a big city pasted to it.
