name plaques for dioramas
Hi, I'm making dioramas for my favorite universal monsters and want to know the best way of making the cool name plaques you often see on garage kits. I know in these modern times you can whip one up on a 3D printer but I want to know how to make them the traditional way. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't done this myself, but here's one way I've heard:
1. Make a photocopy of the text/logo you want and size it appropriately.
2. Find a print shop that makes custom rubber stamps.
3. Ask them to make a rubber stamp of your text/logo and to reverse the image.
4. Once you have the image in rubber, you are ready to make a mold and start casting.
Good luck,
Paul

Thanks for that suggestion Paul and I will look into that, I don,t know if it would work but I did wonder if I was to print out the logo or text type for the movie of the internet transfer that to a clear acetate sheet then use that to imprint into a flat piece of monster clay then remove layers of negative clay to create a plaque, not sure if that would be a very long-winded way of going about it though!

For the money, check with Mark Kaelin (mental mischief screen name here) and see if he has it. He is inexpensive. Even to custom make one, going with him is going to cost less than making a stamp.
