Lady Clankington - Garage Kits.US Paintfest Subject for 2014
Well, since the cats already out of the bag, no sense in holding back.
We got our approval for our 2nd annual Garage Kits Paintfest Class ... we're jokingly calling it "The Revenge of Paintfest".
As I promised last year, 2014's Class Kit will be "The Lady Clankington", which is currently being sculpted by the ever popular and talented Roberto.
Here are some WORK IN PROGRESS pics of the sculpt. It will be 1/3rd scale (the same size as the Victoria from last year) roughly 14" tall, and if I have my way, it will feature a working clock mechanism in one of the gears.

Hopefully we won't get kicked out of the room unexpectedly this time!
Do you still plan to have the working clock built into the base?

Yes it will be built into the gear that's standing up.Andrew wrote:Do you still plan to have the working clock built into the base?

Decals for that bodice would be nice or will you be teaching us to paint that?
Re: Lady Clankington - Garage Kits.US Paintfest Subject for
Details would be cheating, it will be painted, and you'll be surprised at how little time it will take.

Hubba lubba. I love it! There are, however, two obstacles: first, Im not going to WF this year, and second, Im trying to stay away from busts to maybe manage to paint the kits I allready have in my closet, but of course, if a cast of the body without the gears cold be obtained, I would be interrested. I might try my hands on sculping the lower parts myself.

Can't happen, this is a licensed piece and the license doesn't cover parts.batleman wrote: if a cast of the body without the gears cold be obtained,

Remains to be seen what the demand for the piece will be.
