Wonderfest 2019 - looking forward to photos . . .

#1 Post by Heavy Metal Spike »

.

Just checked Buc's site as he usually consolidates links  Facebook ones (some I can view, others I can't) and a fair shake of others . . .
    • . . . nothing there so far (the "Past Shows" section is TOTALLY empty) - wonder if Buc has decided not to do this any more? :-? :-k
Looking forward to seeing what YOU folks all saw in person.

Hope everyone had a great time (and isn't TOO hung-over) :)

Ian/Spike.

Just re-checked - is empty using Firefox - and usually works fine (show all the upcoming stuff though).

Tried using IE (which I hate) - and voila (as my dyslexic music teacher used to say) - there they are.

For those of you on Facebook, Norbert has two videos of the dealers' room and the session with Thomas Kuntz.
Also, it seems someone has starting reissuing three of the old Modeler's Resources kits. Beasts and Babes had a table with Wolf Spirit, Barely Working and Cat's Call.

Thanks for the links so far Buc - and thanks also to all those that originally uploaded so that Buc could share those links.

Even as a non-Facebook registrant, I was able to view all of those so far linked EXCEPT for Kenneth's & Douglas'

Totally blown away by the quality and skills on display. Wow.

I watched a guy called startrekyard live stream..
More star trek model and props this than you can shake a stick at...
Than figure kit dealers.. I seen jimmy flintstone needful things.
and some producers here.
And old 60's toys and 80's I been there done that with all sci fi conventions
I went to in 80's and 90's..
Maybe wonderfest should downsize it's show size..
It looked like same dealers I seen last year on youtube..
I may sound old but, I'm in my mid 40's..
Nostalgia can be a bad thing, especially when you are led by it.

Downsize...that's the most laughable comment ever. Record number of entries. Vendors sold out. They need to keep growing

Yeah... actually rcv'd an email this morning from Ken saying the
same thing...

so...

(man, I gotta apologize to HMS?!?!!! oooooookay!)

I see it fine on Firefox... I reloaded the page & asked the gang on FB if they're
not seeing it on FF to give me a shout! Got me stumped?! Usually FFox doesn't
like tables so it might be something stupid. We'll get it!

Any Firefox users here not seeing the full page past 'Past Shows'?
http://www.bucwheat.com/shows.htm#show

and hearty thank you to everyone posting photos! Really helps for
those of us that didn't make it!

Buc,

I was able to see everything fine on Safari using my home computer. Firefox is my default browser at work, and I'm getting the same error others mentioned, where I can only see the list of upcoming shows.

As Dave said, this comment is simply ridiculous.

Not only are his (Dave's) comments 100% accurate, not only did venders sell out, but most I talked to indicated that they sold more than ever before...and speaking as someone whos been sitting behind a dealer table since 2010, I'm pretty familiar with who's there each year, and we all commented on the many new faces and companys we saw this year.
My advice is; if you don't go or aren't there, don't bother passing judgement on the show.

I've got tons of pics to process.
I took 1200 photos this year.

So, needless to say, it's going to take me a little bit to get through them all.
I hope to get some key pics done quick, then the rest as I can get through them.

Wow - 1200! I took about 800 and thought that was a lot. Be a while before I have time to download mine.

  • • Cache cleared . . . no luck.

    • Monitor polished . . . no luck.

    • Disassembled desktop computer . . . no luck (probably should have put it back together though).

    • Viewing updates to Buc's "Past Shows" . . . $hit out of luck.
