Well that was a VERY pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon. So much eye-candy and at a VERY high standard. The ingenuity, artistry and talent on display was wonderful to take in.
It was a lot of the hardware that caught my eye this year for some reason the time machine (wow!), DS9, the Star Trek "log", the docked Star Trek ship (with the tiny Space 1999 shuttle on top (lol) . . . the list of jaw-dropping pieces went on and on and on.
There were TONS of the monster, girly & other figure kits that were stunning too. All of our Jon's work of course included, and that Babylon 5 Shadow alien was awesome!
As regards prospective purchases, I may end up getting that Pumpkinhead wall-hanger and a few of MVT/Paul's busts. I wish I was more into the genre's that Jesse releases, because his stuff is of such an OTT standard I could just stare at unbuilt sculpts!
There were a few faces I didn't see - but LOTS I recognised
Big thanks to the latest folks that took the time to take all the photos and post them for us all to see:
- • Rodger (very nice to scroll through)
• Steven (now photos of you are not so rare - GREAT to see your face again even if I wasn't there to meet you)
• Paul (post some more Bro!!)
• Jesse (geez dude - that's a LOT of photos - GREAT job man!)
• Trev (most WERE in focus )
• Buc (for adding the latest batch of links to his page (as long as you don't use Firefox ) - along with those that posted the original albums Buc links to
- • Rodger (very nice to scroll through)
Not as good as being there - meeting you folks would have been so special - but it got me part of the way towards feeling like I was there.
