Crowne Plaza info

#1 Post by Rocketeer »

I just got off the phone, and was able to book a room for Wonderfest 2021. For a two-bed room, the rate was about $132 a night.

Is there a date already ?
It's not that I think stupidity should be punishable by death.

I just think we should take the warning labels off of everything and let the problem take care of itself.

I just moved my reservation too, ...again  . I'm staying across the parking lot.

At this rate, I'm gonna need an SUV to transport the entries I've got ready now ... PLUS what I intend to finish by next June.

But this is a GOOD thing!!! :thumb2:

A little cheaper 8) , but more importantly, a shorter walk between the room & my vehicle. :rollin: ...(I drive down from Indy)

That's why I like the room in the area we always get.
2nd floor means we can use the stairs and don't have to wait for the elevator.

I've been lucky and got the first floor most of the time. If not 2nd floor is good - those elevators can be a pain at times.

Since I've had both my knees replaced I request the first floor - they have accomodated me every year except one - that was on 2nd floor and near the main steps.

I prefer 2nd floor on the patio.
I spend a lot of time there with people who get rooms in that area every year. So it's really convenient.

And the two years I did the PS display, it was invaluable. Made hauling in, and out so much quicker. Going through the back door and not having to negotiate all the other traffic for the main dealers room.

My October reservation had been cancelled and I went on their site today. It wouldn't link to the 2021 show - just said the event in Oct was cancelled and site was closed. It wouldn't let me reserve for next years show.

I hope this was just a glitch and not that all the rooms are already gone.......... :(

I don't think the block is set up yet to do reservations for next year's show.

Edit - I just checked the WF website, and they do indeed have a link for the upcoming show.
Did you try the link from the site?

Yep - that was the link I used. I just tried your link here and it still comes up the 2020 show and no way to bypass it. I'll try again tomorrow.

Came up with the 2021 show for me. Maybe you should refresh the page; your browser is probably loading a copy of the old page stored in a cache.

I tried that on my laptop - no change. Tried it on my wife's Ipad and also my phone - still no-go.
It comes up for the 2021 show - says to click on tab for 2021 reservations, then when I do that it comes up with a box in upper right corner saying event is closed to reservations due to close proximity to Oct show and shows the Oct date.
It won't let me go past that. If I try to make resevations on hotel website for the dates it is a higher price.

Guess I'll probably have to call them.

Ok, I tried the link, and I get the same thing you do.
WF page says for 2021 show, but the Crown website says closed. (and 2020 dates)

So, my guess is that there is no new link yet.
It's still early yet. They don't usually post the booking link until like Oct/Nov.

That's what I'm figuring too. I usually don't book till Dec or Jan anyway so I'm going to wait and see.

I almost forgot and booked my reservation tonite. Fingers crossed it goes off as planned this year. But seeing how everything else is going on I won't be surprised if it gets pushed back again!
