5 days
840 miles round trip
890 photos taken
$1500 spent
Less than 24 hours sleep
A healthy amount of alcohol

Priceless!

Hopefully I will have pics and web pages done by the end of this coming weekend.

Congrats on the awards! . . . 4 merits, 2 bronze and (not sure what the crystal one is)?

As you say - the memories are priceless.

Glad you enjoyed yourself.

The other one is a Silver, as well as getting photographed by Fine Scale Modeler.
(hopefully it finds it's way into the magazine)

I didn't actually buy paints. The paints in the photo were part of the painting class I took. They are the Com Art paints that Steve Riojas helped design.

While I continue to wade through my photos, I'll talk a bit about my haul.

Things actually ended up kind of light this year. As a matter of fact, on Saturday, I spent more money on supplies than I did on kits.
The only model I purchased on Saturday was that 'Paris or Bust' that I found on Alternative Image's table.
I also grabbed the Aves, then I blew a wad of cash at the Michigan Toy Soldier's table.
A new set of drybrushes, 3 packs of gamer grass, and a bag of leaves.
(hey, I do all these kaiju kits, I might as well learn how to spruce up the bases).

There were plenty of cool kits, but nothing that really made me want to take it home.
Well, there were two, but neither were available at the show :(

Sunday led to a couple more purchases.
One of my early passes in the dealer's room Sunday had me stareing at that bird-like head on Shane's table. So much detail and texture it just spoke to me. And when Shane told me the price, I jumped on it. That's when I found out it also came with the trophy plaque and teeth. Can't remember the name, but it is from Head Hunter Studios, and is hollow cast.
A little later in the day I grabbed that armored dinosaur with the repro base.
The seller had 3 PS kits, and I had looked at the two larger ones and the prices were way too high. On this pass, one of the bigger ones was gone, and I could see the price tag on the armored. I can't find a reissue for $40 and the resin base is another $30 so that was a great deal I couldn't pass up.

And that was it for my buying.
I've become a bit more selective. I have a decent sized collection now, and don't feel the need to grab kits unless they really grab me.

I know! I was excited when I saw it, then bummed when I saw it was sold out.
I know, I probably could have ordered one, but when I am at a show, I'm only buying stuff I can bring home with me.

Thanks. I haven't unpacked it yet, to see the nameplate again.

Yeah, I realized that when I went to update the Rollerball page and there was
Robb's kit file sitting there looking at me!!

Surprised he didn't pop up and slap me! :)

(now, do I need another kit purchase that will probably just sit in the pile
w/ the rest??! B-b-b-b-ut it's JONATHAN!! man!

Well, I came close to being done, but not quite.

For now, if you want the dealers room pics
http://www.tylisaari.com/models/shows/wf2022/dealer.htm
And if you want the contest pics
http://www.tylisaari.com/models/shows/w ... ontest.htm

Still have to do the page for the miniatures in the contest.
Then my kits, purchases, and review of the show.

But I got most of the 450 pics I ended up with on pages.

I've been cheating over the last week by using your 2021 URL's and tweaking them . . . all to no avail

I'll start perusing your hard work tomorrow.

Good luck with the rest - and (in advance) - much appreciated :thumb2:

I probably missed it somewhere, but who's produced the Elric?
