Hey Buc,

On your website you have pics from Chiller that you took and I was wondering if you (or any others) knew who produced the "Wrightson" style Frankenstein vs Wolfman kit

Thanks,

Hadn't seen that one before, neither. This one was on Danny Faye's table.

Hey guys,

It's definately a kit and it's based on one of Mike Ploog's paintings. It was released by a canadian company,(my memory is a little hazy) i'm thinking called 3D Direct. Needless to say you don't see it available very often. Hope that helps.

Yes. it was from Direct 3D. The sculptor's name is Richard ? I think. He was friends with the sculptor Jacques LaMontaigne and both were from Quebec if I recall right. It's from the mid 1990s and must be lomg OOP. Boy, my memory is getting really hazy... lol

Kit was called War Territory. It is a smaller scale than 1/6th.

Thanks Shane, I did hear back from Sassy's and it is a built up that was included in a collection "buy". Danny said it was produced by Rezn Hedz about 15-16 years ago.

Yes, I'm sure you are right- I was logged on as my brother (alias big guy lol)- I was tired and it looks similar to the Direct 3D kit to me. I don't have my old show albums with me here and can't check the old photos.

That may be the show he got it from or whatever but I have the kit in a box in my closet. Direct 3d out of Canada as Mark had stated thru his alias. Heck of a good price for it too. They go higher.

Actually, it was Ed who ID'd it first then. Regardless, it's a cool kit and it's really starting to be a long time ago that some of those old kits were released. Makes me feel old. It seems like yesterday though. ;-)

Kenny, interesting thing you mentioned the Hulk. It's always been obvious to me that the original Hulk was based on the Universal Frankenstein with the flat head and all. Going from grey to green also seems obvious...

I'll be there, but I expect I'll be spending most of my time working the model contest :(

Alan1, what is your company called? I'll try to stop by and introduce myself! :)

HI guy's, my name is Richard Benoit. I am the sculptor of the war territory kit. It is indeed a DIRECT 3D war territory built up. Only 28 kit's was pored. I sell 2 of my black primed builtup model to Dan....it was a long time ago.....and yes it was based on the Mike Ploog illustration.

Man, I had that kit and sold it a few years ago when money was tight. Dang...I can't remember the name, but I think it was a Canadian kit. I got it at Highway Hobby forever ago. Sorry, I'm not much help.
