John, Jeff is SO easy to talk to and he sincerely appreciates all of us modeling geeks--I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time meeting and speaking with him. I'll bet he would love seeing some of your fantastic paint-ups of his sculpts tooJohn Hircock wrote:I'm so looking forward to finally meeting Jeff. No, really, you're letting that bum Danny come to the show???MONSTERPALOOZA wrote:Dimensional Designs has a table at the show
Seriously. I love Danny, might be the funniest guy in the hobby (certainly a long time veteran of the resin wars). If you've never met Danny and you're coming to the show, you're in for a treat. Just buy him a few beers. The guy knows more bar jokes and tricks than anyone I've ever met.
And when it comes to the history of the hobby, Danny might only be surpassed by Webb and Fisher.
Danny, if you're reading this, look forward to seeing you buddy! With you and Funnyara being there it'll be like "Rush Hour Four"... well, sort of... Just work on your tan...

I'm hoping to bring a kit with me, I still have to check into the carry on situation with the airline. Hopefully it all works out.DoctorG wrote:John, Jeff is SO easy to talk to and he sincerely appreciates all of us modeling geeks--I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time meeting and speaking with him. I hope Anthony Mestas can bring Tom Gilliland as well, he's another artist that has really inspired my work. Its going to be a great show. Sorry to hear you can't make it this time George, we'll hook up again in 2011.
Its a box of plastic if it sits in your closet. Its only a work of art if you build and paint it! Get busy my friends!

John, I'm sorry to hear that you won't be at WF either, but I know it's a long trip for you. If Tom Kuntz shows up, I'll be extra bummed that I couldn't make itJohn Hircock wrote:I'm hoping to bring a kit with me, I still have to check into the carry on situation with the airline. Re: Monsterpalooza April 9 -11 2010
Well, the only negative thing I have to say is those show hours are a killer. When's a guy supposed to eat? The show goes until 11 on Friday but the restaurant closes at 10. Bummer. And then on Saturday the show goes from 11:30 am to 9 pm. Really, nine and a half hours? I'll be the guy asleep behind my table.

John,
Your table is now side by side with AFM.
I'm sure they will watch your table so you can go eat.
