Re: Pictures from the classes?
Here are some pics form the "Lycanthropia At Resintopia" class. It was a pleasure to hear that all the students had a great time and learned a wealth of knowledge at the class.

Minitaire.
I thought they were great.
Airbrush ready, just add a dropp of extender and you're good to go.
Never had a clog or any tip dry.
Sprayed like a dream.

What if you spray them without extender?

Re: Pictures from the classes?
During the FA3 class I think I forgot to add the extender a couple of times.
No major problems
I might have had a bit of tip dry but nothing out of the ordinary.
Since that class I've been careful to add a drop of extender each time I use the airbrush, whether with Minitaire or Jesse's Garage Kits paints (he has a retarder) and so far so good.

Re: Pictures from the classes?
Thanks for posting these pics, Vin. Hope you don't mind me posting them on my website eventually. This class, like the classes we've done at Monsterpalooza and JerseyFest, had a number of folks who had never done a Black Heart kit, a 1:1 scale kit, and had never used an airbrush. You'd never know from the result they got. With Jeff Camp and Gordon Oberman headlining the class, these folks worked all day, some folks didn't even break for lunch and then we extended the class another two hours at their request.
It was a really cool thing to see and a lot of fun.
In some of the pics, you can see printed tutorials done by Jeff and Gordon; Jeff's shows how to do a convincing grayscale finishing on a model kit and Gordon's lays out how to put on a realistic color paint job on our Wolf Man. Those will be posted soon on Black Heart's Tips & Advice page. You can see pics of both paint jobs at http://www.blackheartmodels.com/wolfmangallery.html

Re: Pictures from the classes?
Thank you George for doing the class at Resintopia and sure go ahead and use pics for your site. I have heard nothing but great feedback for the class. I'm very happy about the students all enjoying the class and learning from Top Notch instructors Gordon Oberman and Jeff Camp. I am going to take the class at the next Resintopia myself.

Re: Pictures from the classes?
Good stuff, does anyone actually have the printed painting instructions? I'd love to see how you guys painted it and in what steps you did.

My current plan being to finish my CURSE OF THE WEREWOLF....then work on my Wolfman 360 in time to take with me to Monster Bash...where I'll hopefully get the Chaneys to sign it...

That sounds cool, Tony! I'd love to get mine signed someday, too.
@lexesbenz, the instructions will be posted on George's Black Heart Enterprises website soon. I'm almost done
revamping them for the web. I'll post when it goes online.

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! Hope to make it to one of these shows some day, but I'm just so darn po'. Got to feed my resin addiction, and it doesn't leave much scratch left over for travel.
We need to have one of these in Canada! Preferably a block or two from where I live.

Re: Pictures from the classes?
I know it's a few months since Resintopia wrapped up, but I wanted to throw a few pictures out there that show what I was able to learn from Gordon and Jeff at the Airbrush Asylum. I am one of those "he was always such a quiet guy" kind of person. I tend to not post a whole lot out here, but do alot of reading and have learned much from many of you. Having Gordon and Jeff available for a day at the Asylum though, was a whole new ball game.
If you have the opportunity to get to one of these programs, DO IT. Jeff spent time with me on rendering teeth - I think I was able to get away from the Barry Gibb pearly white syndrome. Gordon spent considerable time with me on "the eyes". He offered several tips that provided me with vastly improved results. I have already purchased a couple of other kits from George at Black Heart - really cool stuff that man is offering.
So....Without further adeu - there is a link below to my photobucket site that has several pictures of my Curse of the Werewolf wall hanger that I started in the asylum. I was FINALLY able to finish it this weekend. I welcome any and all criticism.
Gordon, Jeff, George - Thanks guys...

Re: Pictures from the classes?
Thanks, Brian, for posting. Excellent job. We've already "lifted" your pics and posted them in our COTW Gallery http://www.blackheartmodels.com/gallery.html. We also appreciate the kind words and endorsement of our airbrushing classes and our Resintopia class headliners, Gordon Oberman and Jeff Camp. We (Badger and Black Heart) put on these classes to expose folks to airbrushing model kits in general and to expose folks to 1:1 scale kits specifically. We are lucky to have talented friends like Gordon and Jeff, Steve Riojas and Dan Colonna, Steve Parke and John Allred, and Saul Alvarez, Jim Capone and Rick Cantu willing to headline the classes. Many of these guys have been model contest winners and/or have written articles for our website and/or have contributed to Amazing Figure Modeler and Kitbuilders magazines over the years.
Our goal is to keep offering great product at a great price and presentations by great GK artists. We hope these kinds of classes help to get more folks into this hobby and we hope folks will continue taking the classes because there isn't anyone who can't learn something that will enhance your modeling skills.
Thanks again, Brian.
