Re: John Petik RIP
John is missed by all. This place is a constant reminder of his presence. His posts are still here and I occasionally run across them still.i was lucky enough to get alot of his kits from him directly, and also from the Bullock auctions. I recently also was contacted by a family member of his that agreed to sell me the rest of his kits. All the money from the sales she says will go towards feeding John's cats.Already sent her alot of money and I agreed to keep sending her money to feed the cats as long as they live. I ended up with over 170 kits and put them all together in a nice tribute section in their own detolf glass shelves. So a whole wall there. They are the first thing I see daily in the morning since it was the only open space I had. Most of these are really nice. And some unbuilt. Just thought I would share. Will post pics when I gdt a chance.
Thanks,Anthony

Sat 24th Nov 2018 marks 2 years since our dear Brother passed.
He still has more posts on the Clubhouse than anyone else. He always will have.
John “Raydrz” Petik was many things to many people . . .
I can once again say that courtesy of my visits here - and because of the buildups, kits, magazines, Wonderfest awards & Maiden memorabilia I was lucky enough to get from his estate - not a day has gone by without me thinking of him.
I never knew anyone else in John’s genetic family, but was saddened to recently discover that his Mother - Norma Jean Petik - also left us back in February this year, aged 85 - https://symondsfuneralhome.com/norma-jean-petik/
Photos of John are rare, but thanks to the Wonderfest part of Trev’s website, I found a pic I hadn’t seen before from 2010. I used it because I now own that T-shirt. John bought it during Iron Maiden’s 2008 “Somewhere Back In Time” tour, and ma wee Wifey removed a fair bit of the bulk so that it would fit me. It went to the UK with me earlier in the year too. Thanks John.
I still miss you terribly bud. I know I’m not the only one.

John “Raydrz” Petik was many things to many people . . .
- • A gentle soul
• An incredible source of information
• An inspiration
• A valued confidante
• A mirrored sense-of-humour
• A great contributor to, and supporter of, the hobby
• A cheerful, friendly, humble and even-tempered guy who would do anything for anyone
- . . . and best of all – a DAMN good friend.

I don't think I will ever have another Thanksgiving day go by without feeling that sense of loss I felt when I first heard he passed on. I think of him often and I miss him very much. Thank you for sharing this, I wanted to post something but this was better than anything I could say.
ALL YOUR KAIJU MODEL KITS ARE BELONG TO US!!

I ended up.with another 70 kits to add to the 170 from his niece. Since she gave me such a good deal on the buyout she offered, I also agreed to feed John's cats as long as they live. So I will send every month to cover cat food. I do love animals. It took awhile due to a busy schedule but here is a pic or two for now. More to be added. And these are quick shots.Hopefully some better pics later.

Re: John Petik RIP
Some cool stuff there Anthony - thanks for sharing.
Wouldn't have minded getting that "Neal Andrythal" buildup myself - John did a great job - very nice.
Sorry about the breakages - but that's what happens when we have to deal with morons. There were plenty of us that were shafted by that lying shyster Matthew Bullock and his continually-revolving staff.

Re: John Petik RIP
The Neilandrythal is one of 3 kits on the shelves that John didnt do.The Neil kit was painted by Torpted, which I commissioned him to paint. He did awsome work on it. The Fewture Bye Bye kit is one of the others not from his collection
Thanks,Anthony

John had one hell of a collection.
And you have an amazing display of his work.
Still miss the big lug.
