I sadly have to report that Matt Clemons has passed away.

Just read on FB where Thad gave everyone the news.
Matt was known as
Pigman13 here on the boards.
I am deeply saddened by this news. I only ever hung out with Matt at WF, but he was always great to talk to, and hang out with.
I was even more saddened when I read that Thad was the one who found him. They have been friends for forever.
He will definitely be missed by many that knew him.

This makes me very sad. Matt was always fun to hang with - great sense of humor and a talented modeler to boot. My thoughts go to Matt's friends and family as well as Thad.

Sad news - I remember Matt from the Gremlins days, and met him a couple of times at WF.

I've only conversed here with him but he was definitely a fixture here at the CH. Sad that I only get to know most of these people by their avatars.

I don't think I ever had the pleasure of interacting with him, but it's always sad when another modeller leaves us. Condolences to family and friends.

Thanks for letting us know.
I only remember a couple of exchanges here & there via The Clubhouse as he didn't post much. Seemed like a nice guy though.
Sorry for your loss Trev, ditto to all his friends and family.

I met Matt and Thad at my fourth WF I believe in 1998. I liked them both instantly. Over the next 23 years we became great friends. We also hung out at the old Rezin Hedz/Kitbuilders shows in Chicago and they even came to visit and go to the Star Wars exhibit at the Field Museum in Chicago. Matt posted well wishes for me and my upcoming surgery a day or two before he passed. We had a lot of fun. I will miss you Matt.

Unfortunately, it sure seems that way.
We have to appreciate the people that we have in our lives, while they are still around.

I met him then too....sweet heart of a guy! I know him and Thad were running buddies. Seems like I am getting more of these notices every week.

I just watched this part. Jason did a nice job with the phots at the end. We'll miss you Matt. You were one of the original Gremlins I met.
