Rest in peace artist JAMES BAMA, 1926-2022

#1 Post by Todd P. »

Cortlandt Hull, who interviewed Mr. Bama for his terrific documentary The Aurora Monsters: The Model Craze That Gripped the World, is spreading the word that our hobby's most influential artist has passed away just a few days shy of his 96th birthday.

Mr. Bama, of course, is the artist behind most of Aurora's classic box-art monsters as well as Doc Savage paperback covers and some of the best Western art ever. Here are a few of my favorites.
