R.I.P. Hilber Graf, Modeler's Resource writer, gentleman

#1 Post by Todd P. »

I want to point more people toward this thread at the Scenic Route. Hilber Graf's articles for Modeler's Resource were inspiring to many of us. As I recall, he also served as a Clubhouse moderator for a few years. He died Monday of stomach cancer.

That is sad new's, I remember seeing his work for the first time at the very first Imagination Expo, he had a table there. It was the first time I ever saw someone who could really build up a diorama. Through Hilber I got turned on the Shepard Paine......

Sad news indeed. I've got several of the kits he put out as Monster and Mayhem EFX. Always enjoyed his MR articles.

So sorry to hear that.

I recall reading his articles way back to the earlier issues of Modeler's Resource.

Here's wishing his family and friends comfort in this time of loss.

Clubhousers,

I'm in a local Kiwanis club with Hilber's widow, Rhea Leigh, where I got to know Hilber for the past 5 years. I've have been sending her your condolences as you post them. She is so appreciative of all of your kind words. I thank you for her.
