Re: Jam # 103: Television Stars
The top horizontal red line is through the center of RDA's eye level, the blue line is through the center of the sculpt's eye. The blue line is also just about the top of RDA's nose and start of the lower brow. The same spot on my sculpt is marked with the yellow line. Way off!
I can also see I need to tweak the nose a bit.

I think the side profile (along with noses...and err..faces in general) will be my next area of focus.

Manuel - I noticed that, too. That you tend to only show the front part of the sculpt. Studying it's profile helps a lot in figuring out the proportion and angles in a face.
Dennis - Having the comparison done this way shows a lot of things, true, but don't beat yourself down. The sculpt is still quite excellent and doing likeness are really difficult. Having said that, I think you only need to change or accentuate a few features to really lock down R. Anderson. Slight uptilt to the nose, a little more length to the nostril, it might be the shadows but a little more angle and space for the lower lip.
Really great stuff, everyone. Please keep working on your stuff and don't let a good sculpt gather dust and lay forgotten somewhere.
