Lordy, that hulk is massive. His calves are thicker than his thighs and those forearms!!! Thanks for the link, Tim.

you are welcome Jnr. :thumb2:
that hulk is a big ole thing for sure. it bamboozeled me how to bake something that big!! aside from cutting the sculpt apart and baking there was another suggestion for Polyclay users; a Smoker over by company like Bradley- http://www.greatfireofnantwich.co.uk/pr ... _BT1SCE240

these come in varying sizes big enough to do 1/3 scale stuff. i thought about it but will stick with Chavant for any armatures but mostly stick to waxing for less hassle...

Huh! I never would have thought of using a smoker to bake clay. I still haven't measured this to fit in my oven. I'll add more width to the arms and calves to mirror that Hulk but I don't want it to be so massive. At least, it will make me feel better about following the Hulk movie outline.

yeah its an interesting idea. they are digitally controlled ovens up to 270 . so you could slow bake on say 100 for hours curing right to the core. i'm tempted ...but i must not!! oddly sculpey never cracked for me but now it does..... funny...

Well, I tried to sculpt someting, but as soon as I took the Super Sculpey out of the package--it instantly baked in the heat of the mid-day sun. :hot:

Attempt after attempt resulted in baked blocks of SS. #-o

Now I have the start of a really expensive brick wall! ](*,)

Just kidding- it too danged hot to even think about sculpting. UGH. :shocked2:

yeah, i heard its hot over there in parts on the news Dennis. been warm over here too. i need to wait till evening for waxing when its cooler.

hope you get something going mate. 8)

well i have my freedom from 5 yrs of Mentalville. 8) had a lie in today and planned my ideas. #
one project i fancy is to follow the chapters of popsculpture from beginning to the end and see what i get.
maybe we could do it as a staged jam, ya know, rough, waste mold ,wax up ect..... might be real fun. Elektra was kinda like that. an old sculpey piece that was lying in bits in a drawer. She is the first piece for the jam i am aiming to finish. so its Hands and Sai on the bill this week for me. :D 8)

If Jr. doesn't have anything planned for the next jam yet, I say that since you're our resident Jam Meister Extraordinaire, your wish is our command. :D

Done and Done! I think this jam is ending in a week and that will give Tim time to get things solidified like Dennis' brick hard Sculpey under a midday sun.

Sorry, Dennis. We usually get those terrible heat in CA around this time but right now we're hitting a high of mid-80s.

I've finished mapping out the muscles on Big Green, will bake him today to get some strength and stability and plan on skinning him to get details in.

I'd even say you should carry it over into the current jam, (unless you have other plans). 8)
