I can recomend George Weil for Super Sculpey Firm. I have been burned a couple of times from other suppliers ( the sculpey being unusably rock hard ) but never had a problem with these guys.

Just about to ask where I can get a good batch of firm from-my last batch took me longer to re-work than to actually sculpt with! Cheers!

Brilliant post... I am not actually in the UK but in Europe and always envy the tons of stuff our US friends have available.

Here s one more site that might help:
http://www.mp-artware.de/shop/index.php?cl=start&lang=1
they are German but ship international and stock SS and SS firm at decent prices. They also have Chavant and wed clay.
I ordered twice from them up to now and never had any trouble, the SS was pretty fresh.

Cheers!

Glad i could help tysiony.
There's nothing worse than struggling with your sculpting medium. Like i said before, i have never had a problem with them.

I thought sculpey firm was supposed to be like that , as it is designed for carving isn't it?
Jason,
Sculpey firm should just be a firmer version of Super Sculpey. The only way i can describe it is that it has less bounce when tooling than normal Sculpey.
If you have blocks that are rock hard and described as for carving only , you have probably been sold older clay that has had all of the plasticiser evaporated because it has been stored somwhere too hot.
Hope this helps. :)
Yep, I have experienced old Sculpey and it is very difficult to knead and goes a bit crumbly. I am talking about the softer stuff, so the firm must be qa nightmare if it is aged!
