I need to come up with a 1/6 or 1/8 scale hospital IV.
My plan is to fabricate an IV stand out of wire, but the IV line and the bag/bottle are problematic.
For the tubing - RadioShack has transparent shrink insulation for repairing wiring. It's pretty tiny, but it's not very flexible. Any other ideas?
I'm also not sure how to make the IV bag. An old-school glass IV bottle would be fine too. I think I've seen clear miniature glass bottles in the doll house section of the hobby store, but nothing that really looks like an IV bottle.

I'm not sure if they sell just the bottle, though...

You could try using thin fibre optic strands for the tubing? chuck them in hot water for a bit and they will be flexible enough to shape and pose
hmmmm..... IV drip? maybe cut the end of a pippette off for it?

if that wouldnt look right, try googling them, loads of different styles
Hope that helps

Actually, I think the bulb end of that pipette would work really well. Id have to fabricate some kind of fitting, where the tube attaches, but that wouldn't be too hard.
Now I just have to find one.
The fiber optic is an awesome idea!
Thanks!

I made a couple IV bags for my OIP by cutting a corner section off of a sandwich bag. I mixed up some tinted five minute epoxy carefully poured a bit in, and clamped the edges shut with a forceps. When it was cured, I put a hole in the top for hanging and painted some text on the outside. I used fishing line for the drip tubes. I thought they looked pretty good for 1:6.

Didn't one of the producers sell bottles and lab stuff in 1/6th scale? I remember seeing it at one time on the Clubhouse
