Where is the Excitement?

#1 Post by FilmMkr »

The hysteria? The OMG, I can't WAIT and I'm about to pee myself anticipation? Wonderfest is coming up pretty soon, isn't it?

Seems awfully quiet this year..... I sure hope its not an indication of what we can expect a week from Friday.

OMG, I CAN'T WAIT  :alcoholic:

I'm actually very excited for this year. I'm bringing my oldest daughter down to show her what WF is all about
and to introduce her to all the folks I've been talking about for the last several years.
All except the late night partying with all you crazy bastiches!

Thanks for starting up the engine Marc!

Well, that makes three of us. Lol.

Nah, seriously, it just seems like in years past there was this frenzy, but this year its like crickets on a deserted riverbank.

Ah well, the three of us can have a good time, yeah?

aside from the panic of plans changing monday 5/14 (gotta drive myself and still looking for a room)... :cussing: :angry2: :cussing: :angry2:

NOT THE "EXCITEMENT" I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO...

i was wondering the same thing, marc...i'm hoping what with monsterpalooza, resintopia, jerseyfest, etcetcetc that WF doesn't become "just another show"...

This is my first WF so I am excited. May is always a crazy month for me with my wife's birthday and mother's day. Work has been crazy too, I have been averaging 50+ hours a week so I'll be ready to be blown away at WF. Plus the 27th is my birthday so I'll be buying myself nice things! :D

Awesome!

Remember though that I asked if you wanted to lift with me at the fitness center the last two years and you never showed!

So maybe I'll be the one doin' the tackling. Better yet, maybe I'll cut the sleeves off a black t shirt and wear it all day Saturday, how does that sound? :D :D :D

Personally, I think that WF has been around way too long for that to happen ... at least anytime soon. It's basically the standard that most (if not all) other shows are judged by.

Oh, trust me.
The excitement is there!!!!!!!

I just haven't been posting about it much, because I've been busier than normal this year.

Not only am I trying to co-ordinate the trip to WF (including my daughter's school schedule so I know when to pick her up on the way)

My wife is leaving for Tennessee next Tuesday for a 2 week visit with her father. So I had to get her all set up with bus tickets, and make sure all her packing and such it taken care of.

My daughter's 5.5 year old cat has been sick. I had to force feed him for almost 2 weeks. Now I am just hand feeding him multiple times a day.

Our washer died a week ago. Been having some car problems.
And training new people at work.

All that on top of my online responsibilities (like keeping this place running, My own 2 boards that I run, and a couple others I am staff on). The normal stuff at home like mowing the grass, and home repairs.
And trying to wrap up the 8 contest entries that I intend to bring with me. (3 done now)

I cannot wait for next Friday to get here.
As soon as I hit the road Friday morning, all that stuff will be in my rearview mirror, and the only thoughts in my head will be "are we there yet" for the entire 8 hour drive.

I am sooooooo ready to just chill out and have a blast with everyone at the show.

How old is your daughter?
Mine will be along for the fun again this year as always.
She's 21 and this will be her 11th show.
There is still lots of fun to be had till the wee hours without any alcohol involved. Between the shows in the upstairs theater, hanging out in the lobby and visiting, and a few other things.

Pretty fired up for the show. Been bustin' hump trying to finish up some stuff for the show, but I'm ready to sip some Crown, buy some sweet kits that intend to be there, hang w/ the fellas and see all the gorgeous work that folks do for the show.

Tick Tock baby.....almost there.....
