Yeah! This is the 3rd show in a row, but the venue has been changing to accomodate it's growth, I think next year (2013) daves on about moving it to a bigger place as It's already out grown this venue

another update.

been speaking with dave about the show and a concern he would like to address.
the niggle/gripe he has is concerning the size of the premises.as most will know the last 2 years the u.k.g.k show as been held at a golf club with a fair size room,to me anyway this as been an adequate sized room for a new show.the main problem with this was dave felt there was'nt anything else to entertain the folks if they wanted to take a breather out of the room or just wanting a break for lunch etc.
this is where the idea came to move the premises to somewhere he knows well and a few of us have visited,on the blakemere site.to me this seamed an obvious choice and to be honest in my opinion a better site.blakemere is only minutes away if driving and only 10 minutes walking.it still has easy parking close to the premises with the bonus of having creature features/killer kits shop based there to!! as for the show room, admittedly a slightly smaller room if compared to the last one but more in the way theres a smaller main area but with an added entrance section(this holds 2 biggish stalls or 3-4 smaller).what we have also is killer kits will be situated still in the main room and have his unit/shop close by,this is a big premises and a must to visit to see where all the k.k and creature feature art work by rachael is all done, stunning pieces to buy too or a custom order can be put in.
that being said the site around the show offers much more than the golf site, theres craft shops, cafe for lunch and more to see, this gives the partners something to do if there bored of our greed and drool pouring over the shows wares or if you wanna go out the show and take a break and come back to finish emptying your wallet or start emptying your partners :D .anyway back to the show rooms, these are a more intimate more not greatly smaller, i think and a few more people who have seen them to be of a better standard than the last.nexts years event is already being worked on with a bigger venue planned as the last two shows and this years are growing at a great rate. the main point enjoy yourself, relax and meet all the faces that count in the u.k.g.k scene!.

before i finish if i can ask a moderater if its o.k to add here the new releases for the folks to to see from killer kits thats going to be available from the show.i will be more than happy to collect any kits from the show any member wants on here, home and overseas.

thanks,paul.

there are shops for the ladiiiieeess.

update 15 aug

i made my way up to the creature features/killer kits shop today, mainly for a chat with dave on the progression of the show.the last update i mentioned room size,i took another look at whats bein used today and still think its a better site and not a great deal of difference on size, infact with an average entrance that can be (and will be)used, the main room and a back room all connecting i think it surpasses the older site.next we moved on to the main subject, what kits are gonna be there from killer kits(obviously i can't talk about the other producers items simply because i don't now :D ,all i can say daves bringing out some oldies, some not so oldie and the brand new releases, many of the classics and the to be classics.the new stuff is is really gonna open some eyes for sure, killer kits have certainly moved forward with new ideas which have been put into production. there is the usual sculpters and a few new which add a freshing move to what can be and is being achieved.
there is something for everyone.dave will also have his shop open all day as well for you to take a look at whats there, like i mentioned before go and see rachaels art work on canvas, stunning work and at super bargain prices.this year also offers to be able to pay with credit cards!spend up your cash and move on to your partners cards! :D .

i will be adding some new kits on here for our u.s friends to see incase they want me to collect some for them,as usual i will collect and i will ship them over.obviously u.k folks can also reserve kits,a few have already with orders on kits i have already sold on here before.
im extremley pleased also to be able to add my name to a kit that should make the show, dave as been extremley generous to offer me a joint production on a piece.this will stay secret for now until the green light really is a go.so its all looking like a great show and one we all need to support and make the effort to attend.keep in mind it's the u.ks only show thats dedicated to our hobby and we all need it to grow and live on.

i always forget to mention...please excuse my poor grammer.. cheers, paul

Paul ... do you guys have a website for this show or is it just the Facebook page? I'd like to add it to the show listings on the GKC's webpage and I would like to see about going next year if at all possible.
