#1 Post by oldham guy »

Hi guys, got bk from the show afew hrs ago n even tho I was only there a cpl of hrs I had a blast(my gf didn't lol) bein my first show I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly suprised with the whole thing,as sn as we walked in the rm was buzzing with ppl all eager to get their resin fix.the amount of talent on show was great, made me realize just how far off I am at bein anywhere near their talent.lotsv tables there, with both kits for sale n just showing off their painted kits.chatted to some really friendly ppl and ended up spending around 200quid.I got a great wolverine bound to 2 trees,Sam Keith style sculpted n produced by demonic creations, big kit but not lookin forward to putting him together lol.I also picked up a massive werewolf from Dr steins laboratorium & creature shop(i was already goin to buy this but then had to when I picked him up n his head fell off landing on the hand n breaking off 2 fingers...oh how we laughed..right guys lol)i also got the old n&t Batman n genaral thade busts from these guys, really nice ppl many thanx.my last purchases were the norse zombie n meat grinder busts.all in all a really good turn out for a really good show.I have pics n will be putting them up 2nyt.thanx guys.

Just rolled in from the show>Knackered, been on the go since 04.30am :( Amazing day!I'll post pics up over the few days. The pics above show Mr. Dewar's epic Persius and Medusa  This thing is HUGE.The head is severed clean off with his sword buried i the column.Took me a while to see how it was done :D His Hulk was VERY impressive. Masive with a real sense of rage  Ray's Alien/hybrid next to it was a real work of art to,self sculpted.
Joe Bailey is busy(though not fast enough 8) )on a fantastic Black Widow, which is sure to be a must have. Our very own Cous won best bust with Eygor.Neo-uk won best in show with Volks's Commando(he got goose bumps when he found out  )Last I won best figure with the Bride of Frankenstein (Moebius)
Bought the Barbarian from Fantasy realms, along with a lot of Freak Flex paints. Also picked up Killer Kits new King Kong/T-Rex kit(last one-phew)
Oh yeah, chatted to Ant about the light module for the Cylon Centurion. It looked the BUISSNESS 8) .
More soon

Some great stuff there, looks like a great show.
Is there any info on that WOLVERINE and SLAINE, like where to buy them from.

Cheers

I got one of the little Logan mini-kits from Ken Jones, very nice wee kit which I almost started work on today :) I could have bought several more, but my stash of kits embarrasses me and I need to get some done before I acquire more....

Had a good time at the show, nice seeing such a range of kits produced here in the UK. I think we (the IPMS Sci-Fi SIG) had a lucky break being given the stage area just inside the door for our display, we had lots of space and good lighting to show off our kits.

One small child picking up one of the smaller kits and getting ready to chuck it across the room, and an elderly lady who seemed to think her age and grey hair meant she could pick up anything she fancied from the display (when I commented that she'd not handle the art in a gallery, she said she would if she wanted to) were the only marks on the day...

I got the little Batman kit from Ken, it's a real gem, Richard Martins Joker bust and the Wolfman bust from Dave at KK, Best of all though was meeting all the wonderful people, two little lads spent time with me looking at all the models, reminds me what the hobby is really about, they made me miss the grand kids though :)
