Beautiful work! I don't see any keys so I guess this is a private commission and not a kit.

Thanks you... as for the guess, the pics were taken before any of the main body cuts had been made.nek33d wrote:Beautiful work! I don't see any keys so I guess this is a private commission and not a kit.

This is so awesome! If it was a kit I would snap it up in an instant! Makes me sad that I will never own it. Please put up pics of Wolverine, too!

Hey guys. So I'm not sure what I can and can't say on this thread as far as releasing, but I can promise, not long. I needed to have Domino in hand to build Wolverine around and since it would have taken longer to ship, kit, and resend to me than to just hang on to the prototype while I build Logan, they're both going to be produced and released around the same time. Once my WIP thread for Wolverine crops up you'll start seeing more updates. Thanks for checking in!

Re: X-Force: "Sex and Violence" UPDATE... WOLVERINE!!
Thanks to everyone. With no further pussyfooting about, Here we go on the other fella,
You'll notice though both pieces devaite slightly from the control art (though beautiful some of the finer details are vague) Wolverine posed a fairly common conundrum when bringing comic art to life, the impossible posture!! As cool as the pic is, not only is he not supporting his own body weight (gets even crazier when you realize the drawing is at a dutch angle), in order for his arm to be behind Domino's head and still have a chest orientation angled away from her, it would have to be dislocated, so instead of needling with a pose that wasn't working, trying to get it close, I decided it was better for the piece, both the diorama and the standalone, to just pick a posture that looked right, not "close enough", a pose that just said "Wolverine" while still maintaining the leg crossover. Also while I sculpted more of his mutton chops peaking from under the mask, but the long shaggy mutton chops in the control art just don't sit right with me, I think they look silly, am I wrong?
Morepics, both final pics and earlier WIPs later, for now, slumber.

Re: X-Force: "Sex and Violence" UPDATE... WOLVERINE!!
wow, the wolverine piece is pretty cool as i'm diggin the head!
if i can add some opinion on the piece, for some reason, from the elbow down on both arms, the forearms and hands appear to me as they are small for the piece. maybe it's the angle of the pictures? or maybe i'm just used to seeing a more exaggerated hand from the comics.
