Well..I know it's been a few days, but not much has happened. They did one biopsy on Ray's leg a few days ago. Other than that they've done nothing but a mediocre job of pain management. Supposedly they are going to give him a gameplan on Tuesday. I have concerns that they are pushing him off until after the holiday, but who knows? Unfortunately I had to work this whole last weekend and wasn't able to go see him, but his assistant, and other friends have been a huge help.
Thanks again for the kind words, and I'll keep you folks posted. Like Ray said "There's no way I'm missing the Doctor Who Anniversary specials, and I damn sure will be at the opening weekend of the new Godzilla!"

hi folks...
thanks for the kind words and positive energies.
thursday a biopsy was performed on my right lung, and then i was sent home to await the results. at that time we will discover whether the cancer is spreading from the leg to the lung or vice versa.
at that point we will figure out what to do about it.
im hoping for more information monday, and as soon as i hear something i will let you know!

Very sorry to hear about this! I've got two close family members battling cancer right now myself. Take strength in knowing you're not alone and keep fighting!!!

Given the thread, topic and the fact Ray is one of us, it's tough to think of the right words - most of us are probably worried about unintentionally saying the wrong thing.

I'll be honest and say not a day has gone by since I read the horrible news, that I have not thought about you Ray.

I'll keep posting here - even if I simply repeat myself - and will keep wishing you well.

Stay strong Ray!

This is terrible thing that's happened to you and my thoughts and best wishes are with you, that you make a good recovery.

thanks spike and everybody for the kind words and thoughts. i still dont have a complete picture of how bad it is, but lets just say it is extremely bad... i know things are fast, i just dont have a velocity.

i theres one thing everyone here can so for me (other than someone springing for one of these electric scooters) is for everybody to start observing the proper safety protocols.
got an exhaust vent? turn it on. got a respirator/safety goggles? wear 'em!
if i had done that i would not be in this situation now.

Oh heck. Not what any of us wanted to hear Ray :(

Hope the "complete picture" is gained soon, and that it's nowhere near as bad as it sounds.
