What we learned in our WF suite this past weekend....

#1 Post by DoctorG »

--That Gannon Beck is one heck of an artist
--That Troy is the ultimate practical joker
--That John Diaz shoud avoid passing out on the couch
--That toasts to Dan Colonna are always welcomed
--That Terry Webb is a great guy for sharing his 50+ year old whiskey to toast Dan
--That colored tissue paper works well as a drink koosie
--That Mrs. Seevers makes some killer caramel corn and zombie head cookies :D
--That two suite hosts can still polish off two bottles of Jack in a weekend
--That Tweety Bird tattoos DO exist

Please add to the list and keep the thread going!

Also, many thanks to everyone who stopped by our suite and made it such a HUGE success in honor of the 25th Anniversary show! I loved seeing all the "Suite Life" t-shirts donned during the weekend and appreciate those who brought beer and other goodies to share. God willing, we'll do it all over again in 2015!

Thank you guys for the great evening on Saturday! It had been way too long since I'd been to WF and you, and everyone else there, were people that I'd almost forgotten how much I'd missed. I can't tell you how happy I was to be there...

I learned that Ron Sherwood is a sneaky bastich hiding a DAMN cool new kit.... That Phil Sera catches people at their funniest in the Suite......that Crown XO goes down WAY too smoothly.......and finally that Mrs. Seevers DOES make some of the finest caramel corn ever to hit these taste buds.

Thanx to the Suite Mates who make this happen every year. It's always a good time living the Suite Life! 8)

I learned:

• If you plan on opening beer bottles with your teeth, or even pretend to open beer
bottles with your teeth, make sure you've got Jeff around. He'll take care of you.

• The Crowne Plaza is the fanciest hotel I've EVER stayed in.

• When fate gives you the opportunity to press your naked butt cheeks up against a glass
wall, directly facing a live podcast going on at 3am in Dealer Room B, you don't ask questions,
you just do it.

• Beware of the "Kinky Cam".

• Don't try and pitch a great idea drunk, especially to a bunch of drunk hecklers.

• It's gonna be hard to top the fun I had this year, but I think we can do it in 2015. :)

I learned that you guys are some of the most sporting and generous people I have had the pleasure of meeting in my many years.

I learned that high expectations of good times with great old and new friends are easily met in Ye Olde Suite!

Many thanks, Doc!

Cathy said to tell you all "Thanks". She's very happy you all enjoyed the popcorn and cookies. You can tell by looking at me what a fantastic cook she is...

Who knows what she'll come up with for next year!

Aside from learning that some of the most talented guys in the hobby are also some of the nicest guys in the world. . . I also learned that not only is Terry Webb an excellent story teller... but, He also has Dept. 56 monster village so expansive that it includes an angry mob that congregates somewhere near "Dracula's Daughter's Condo"!
The question is not so much where we are as when we are.

To me it doesn't matter if I don't make a ton of money at the show.
My value is measured on the quality of time I spend with good people and friends new and old.
When it comes down to it YOU CAN'T PUT A PRICE ON A GOOD TIME.
I treasure that most on that weekend when I'm there with you hooligans.
I can't wait until next year. Thanks to the suite boys who host that party every year it is the highlight of the weekend. 8)

That WAS one of the funnier moments of the weekend. I'm surprised Timi put up with it for so long!

Thanks for the kind words John. At this point, we provide the stage and everything else plays out from there! The thing is now on autopilot, which makes it very easy for us hosts....and so far, no injuries (almost)
