#1 Post by scuzzfink85 »

Somebody said, Dupi? auto primer can used for vinyl models.?
I went to autozone today all I found was scratch and fill one?
What auto primer can I use?

Any lacquer based primer can be used. Check the ingredients that it contains acetone, xylene. I buy mine at an auto paint supply store, that way I'm assured it's lacquer based.

"Scratch and Fill" primer is really thick and is great for filling sanding scratches, but it'll also fill in fine detail on a kit. Look for "sanding primer" which leaves a little bit of texture but sands smooth really easily, or "primer sealer" which goes on smooth and isn't meant to be sanded.
