final goodbye to COOKIE

#1 Post by raydrz »

it was with a heavy heart and an ocean of tears that i had to say my final goodbye to COOKIE this morning...the tumor in her tongue got to be too much...more than just an inconvenience...she barely had anything to eat in the last couple days...very weak, could only muster up some tiny mews...she joins RAIDER (1/25/14) and BEAR (11/22/14) at the RAINBOW BRIDGE patiently waiting for the day we are all re-united...

I'm so sorry, we lost our two cats of 17 years this year too - Mattel in February and Hasbro in May, so I can empathize. Its rough.

Sorry John. Its never easy losing a pet but helping them not to suffer is the right thing. Condolences for your loss. :(

John ~

I am SO, SO SORRY to hear of your loss. I very well understand how important our "fur family" members are to many of us. I, too, still shed tears for our golden retriever, (George) Bailey who passed almost 2-1/2 years ago...and even though we finally got a new "fur family" member (another golden puppy) in mid-March who is a major part of the family, I still miss my pal Bailey very much.
My condolences and thoughts are with you.

boy was it tough coming home to an empty house...no one there to greet me, no one hanging with me watching TV, no one jumping in to bed @ sleep time...

thanks again everyone...

I am so very sorry to hear this. My Sheba is 17 years old and I know that I won't have much more time with her. She is with Liz in AZ, so I do know what you mean by coming home to an empty house.

times 2 for you, brother...

i also had the empty (soon-to-be-ex) house back in 1994-95...went to the bar every night rather than go home to an empty house...got REAL GOOD at darts and slept in the office A LOT...showered at the health club the next morning...change of clothes always with me...

So sorry, John. We lost our Shi-Tzu last year. They're not really 'pets', but part of the family. My thoughts are with you.
