Keown Hulk

#1 Post by resin addict »

Yeah...it's been a while so I figured I'd do another Hulk...
This one is for a friend of mine, he asked for something different on the base, I'd seen this design on-line associated with the Avengers so I recommended this...challenging masking job. I like the white background on the base as a change, it really makes the colors pop...plus I used automotive catalyzed clear to really make it hard and shiny...gives it a nice wet look.
Color choices for the rest were from my friend.
Look at it now, before it gets moved and no longer gets bumped up in the museum.

Looks fantastic as usual. Like the slight color variation in the nails.
I have a question, did you think about changing the color
of his veins in his biceps/forearms/rest of his body just to brake the uniform green?

Since this wasn't for me, I was working based on another person's guidelines.
I actually recommend either going a little lighter or darker on the veins (I've done them both ways) but this is how he wanted it. Maybe it doesn't show up very well, but I did do some subtle shading on the flesh around the larger veins to try and make the veins themselves pop a bit more.
