TOS Cylon Centurion M Baldwin sculpt completed

#1 Post by armandodlc »

Here is my TOS Cylon Centurion completed. I scratch built the base and added the Larson scanner effect (eye scanner) using an Arduino board to create it, as well as an mp3 board to do the scanner sound. I also added several phrases (using a BigDawg board) which the centurion says by pressing buttons in the back. I'll post a video demonstrating that. Thanks to Tim Fortuna and Jack Shield for making this wonderful kit available. Thanks for looking!

Nicely done!

It looks like you ran the wires up the other leg from the one I used. I built this kit years ago when Charlie Dunton still owned the molds.

Thanks guys! Interesting Qtan. You drilled up the right leg? I used the left. Challenging mods to be sure, but in the end it was well worth it. Looks really cool.

It's been years since I built this kit. I thought I'd used the straighter leg for the wires but, looking at the pics on my build, I realized I used the same leg as you. Even with the sharper bangle at the knee it was easier due to the leg being separate. I did mine in a gold tone.
