Can't remember last time I had such a mad-on for a film I haven't seen. I confess I'm rooting for Batman v Superman to financially fail, and dramatically, in hopes of forcing Warner Bros. to recognize it has put the wrong guy in charge of the Justice League movies I've waited almost five decades to see.

D'you suppose it's too late to at least put a leash on Zack Snyder? Not that doing so would necessarily help; Christopher Nolan was supposed to steer him to a good Superman movie and we ended up with Man of Steel.

The Marvel movies are wearing thin for me, but I still give the company credit for getting so much of it right. Seems the folks making the DC films these days are trying to take the Dark Knight approach, but all they bring to it is the grim and not the intelligence.

Yeah...but if you look at their ratings it's currently 33% from critics, but 82% from users...that's actually a pretty good rating from users, that means the people that want to see it like it, it's just the critics that aren't that thrilled about it, and honestly lately, I don't put a whole lot of stock in what "professional" movie watchers have to say.
I'm going to wait to pass judgement until I see it myself, but if 82% of the people like me (those that are actually paying their own money to see it) like it, I think that's a pretty decent endorsement.

To say the truth: I am TIRED of reading worse and worst "critics" from self taught people who smash everything in the ground what comes up. It is always the same thing, everytime a highly anticipated movie starts and what is the reaction? This is crap, all the way. Why not leave the opinion to others? I know, many people (fans and critic) are always negative, does not matter about what, it seems it is hip to be against everything, anyway how good or bad it might be. I am really pissed off because of such blabbermouthes and give a ... about their opinion! Let everyone judge for himself!

Frank (sorry folks for maybe over doing this, but I am really angry about it. Anyway which movie, it is always bad in their eyes...)

Of course, no one is required to pay attention to anyone else's opinion. They're hard to avoid -- heck, forums like this are all about sharing opinions -- but they're only valid in your eyes if you let them be.

For what it's worth, though, I often find the critics as a whole not too far off from my own opinions about movies. Some are constant bashers, some love them all. But take, for example, the first two Avengers films. The group compiled through Rotten Tomatoes loves the 2012 film (which I thought was wonderful) and isn't so crazy about Age of Ultron (which I found pretty weak). The Rotten Tomatoes bunch also loved The Force Awakens (I haven't seen it) and were generally OK with Jurassic World (which left me flat).

As with virtually every profession, from president to toilet washer, some critics are good at their jobs, some aren't. I generally find them useful if I'm on the fence about a film, but I don't pay much attention if I've decided to go regardless.

Just got in from seeing it and I REALLY LOVED IT. Last time I was THIS moved by a movie was probably "The Dark Knight" but in terms of overall ranking(s) of movies in this genre, I would put it up there with the first "Iron Man". Affleck just NAILS Batman AND Bruce Wayne, EVERYONE in the cast is just incredible and Holly Hunter just brings a gravitas to this that was unexpected based on the trailers. I think Eisenberg's Luthor and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman you will either love or hate; I happened to love BOTH performances. LOT's of complaints have already been posted about style over substance, but I REALLY do not see that in THIS film. I was moved to tears more than once, laughed out loud several times as well. Biggest complaint I have is SOME pacing issues and as was the case with both of Whedon's "Avengers" films, there are a few REALLY convenient plot points that you either buy or don't. I was having SUCH a blast, I chose to go with the flow, so sue me! Anyway, I'd give it a SOLID 9! Out of ten, BTW, the last time I gave a Batman movie a nine, it was "Batman and Robin". And THAT was out of 100.
But I guess we won't REALLY know how to feel until Adam West weighs in . And don't expect THAT until someone points a camera at him. Oh, and the check clears (just sayin').

I hate to say it, but it was bad. Man of Steel was a much better movie and it made the Nolan batman's seem like holy grails. Don't expect much going into it and I think a majority will still find the visuals enjoyable and the action scenes entertaining. It unfortunately doesn't have much else going for it otherwise, which is sad considering that this was the best depiction of batman and wonder woman we have had on the big screen in my opinion.

All I'm gonna say is that it was a good looking mess of a movie.

Just wondering, why big studios do the movies the way they do them. Aren´t there any "experts" who say, we can make it so or so, and fans would love it if we can do it so? Remember the new FANTASTIC FOUR movie? Understanding the way they have done it is difficult I think but there must have been some explanantions for doing it this way. And with BVS it might be the same. Since Marvel handles the production of their movies by themself, it works (Captain America movies are amongst the coolest Superhero movies I think). Why can´t DC do it the same way? What inspires them to film their heroes the way they do? Questions unable to answer!

I agree, the film felt like it was thrown all together in pieces to fill space time on the reel. The Villian,..Lex Luthor did his best Joker impersonation I felt like he was trying to make the audience remember him because Jared Leto was going to play the Joker in a couple months. Horrible...Horrible.

BatFFleck, looked great in the suit...but he was a horrible Bruce Wayne. A guy walking around with sad puppy eyes being mad at everyone in public. But he did fight well in the suit best we have yet to see on film in any bat film. Supes was good also but again no substance.

The first hour to me was non-existent I almost fell asleep. Last hour was when things started cooking. Wonder Woman actually was better then I expected from a skinny Israeli playing an Amazonian.

Footnote,..no reason to hype people up on seeing flash, cyborg and aquaman, because there was no reason to even show them as you had more problems on your plate which again was the main story, something this director has obviously missed.

I gotta say, I thought this movie was horrible. The director was given all the tools and all the pieces to make a great Super Hero movie, and he failed totally. This movie was all over the place. Half the time I was thinking "What the hell is going on?" The dream sequences made no sense what so ever. The CG for the "big bad" at the end of the movie was pathetic. He looked like a Troll left over from the Lord of the Rings movies. It was a total mess. If they are to continue with the Justice League movie, they need a new director. This guy is a joke of a director.

I agree on Snyder and the film's incoherence but the movie broke all box office records so I'm sure he'll helm the next one.

I saw it this past weekend. I'm going to agree with a little from many here. It dragged big time. No need to be 2 1/2 hours. More than once my wife asked me if I knew what was going on, and I didn't. I thought the effects were good, but at this point they should be. I would of liked to see more team work from them and less fighting. And I didn't really like the big clunky Batman suit although I realize the reason for it. And when I first saw the trailer for it I thought Jesse Eisenberg was playing the Joker, not Lex Luthor. However, I did not hate Wonder Woman. Not one I would watch again.

I loved the movie overall.... but, I also loved Water World haha.....

I did however have some "WTH" moments.... for instance.... as much as they apparently hated each other, I thought it was very odd that all of the sudden they were buddy buddy because their mothers shared the same name..... really? Also, as much as they played up the fact that Aquaman was in this movie.... I thought 5 seconds of screen time was kind of dumb... I really thought he was going to save lois and bring the kryto-spear to the surface. One thing I loved was the bat-wing... can't have a batman movie without the plane and the car, but, did supes really have to take the car out the first time batman took it for a spin?

So many people compare DC and Marvel movies as if us comic geeks are going to pick one or the other.... come on guys we are comic geeks we are going to watch them all regardless of DC or Marvel.... Marvel movies are really fun.... DC movies are really dark... I think both studios can learn things from each other..... just my opinions

I really liked it. I certainly thought it was better than the Force Awakens.

Not surprised either, HAPPY to say! http://www.cinemascore.com Of course they collect their data on opening night from people actually AT a theater having JUST seen a movie (and since they let ANYONE in to see movies, it COULD very well be they are filling out the ballots incorrectly, or they simply have NOT had the time to realize how bad the movie was. Or have SOMEONE else explain how bad it was TO THEM. 8) )

OMG this was SOOOOOO awful.

2 1/2 hrs I wish I could get back.

I honestly can't think of a single redeeming point.

Complete waste of time.
