The 2016 NFL Thread!

#1 Post by FilmMkr »

Might as well start the 2016 thread now, since Silly Season is in full swing, the draft is six weeks away, and Donkey Boy is on suicide watch. :lol2:
Buc Wheat wrote:So Filmy... how you liking the new acquisition to your team?

Seems the fans up here are loving it! That and the added news that
they replaced ol' Brock with Mr. ButtFumble!!

Eating this up w/ a spoon!
I applaud the Texans' bold moves. They needed a QB, so they went and got the top guy available. They needed someone who could catch AND run to replace Arian Foster, so they went and got the fastest back in the league. They lost two OL to free agency and replaced them both with talented guys with nasty dispositions, just what you want from the guys in the trenches.

And they did all that without giving up a single draft pick.

Now whether or not Osweiler is The Guy remains to be seen, but at least Smith and OB grew a pair and went for it, and the fans in Houston - including yours truly - are over the moon.

Poor Angelo - first the Astros kick the Yankees a$$es all over the Bronx, and now the Texans steal his QB and leave him with The Sanchize. Ah well, at least he can take solace in the fact that his team won the rings.

I am curious tho, Swabbie - why are the NE fans so giggly about Osweiler to Houston?

easy.... 1. anything bad for Denver (or Indy or NYJ or Buff) makes us happy!
2. We still have a warm spot for "Billy-Oh"!

never realized there was a huge patriots vs broncos rivalry. Maybe beating them in the last two playoff match ups does that to you.

Not on suicide watch....still holding the championship trophy.......whooooo....cant take that away.

And a shame you spoke too soon....the real butt kicking was last night.....good stat line for the starter. lol

Still might get Kaper....which is what i am hoping for more.....need to restructure some funds.

Actually, more a Manning thing. The only 2 teams I ever considered a rival were Indy
(again when Peyton was there) and the old Miami teams.

Lots of folks up here think the Jets are rivals... but that's more a management
rival more than a team rival. Kraft/Belichick hatred of Woody... teams never
been that impressive.

re Broncos... now hearing Kubiak wants Jonny Football!

Read that too....they must be so desperate since they dont have salary room to even consider that.....heck bring back Tebow. He would play for free plus sanchez would love that again. LOL!

Jury's obviously still out on the new Lions GM, but it was encouraging that he didn't trade up to draft a player with injury issues! That was different! :D

Have a feeling he'll be keeping it warm if his last 3 yrs are any indication!

But hey! We served to make sure you can express yourself any way you like, brother!

One of the WORST officiated games I can remember - If Brady or Worthlessburger were taking those headshots, those players would have been ejected -

I DO realize it's a contact sport, but there ARE enforced rules for player safety...

And an offensive lineman penalized for jumping up and down in celebration?

bulls**t...

that 1st crunch that cammy took was legit...mobile QB becomes RB, gets hit by a couple of monsters...mobile QB gets up in total crybaby mode...STFU...

the other big one was helmet-to-helmet but not intentionally a dirty play...gets offset by intentional grounding...

man, i TRY to root for the panthers, but...
