Abso-freaking-LUTELY!
In fact, we have a new popular vote category and award (sponsored by **cough** Futuristic Retro and Filmy's Girls **cough**) called Master Class. This award is selected from past winners of NRA.

Pretty much sums it up; and although nudity is allowed (it is a "closed" adults only event), I'd say it "celebrates the female form" as opposed to "celebrates nudity"...and yes, definitely not pornography.ShaneM wrote:Naked Resin Attack.

Re: N. R. A.
Hi all,
Just got this from our pal Phil O'Girl.
Yes, there will be a 2016 edition of the Naked Resin Attack. Room TBA. Schedule and pictures from last year's contest are up at the Connoisseurs of the Biological Arts website. http://tagteamhobbies.com/toms/cba/cbawelcome.html
And yes, there will be a new public vote award this year. Filmy's Girls/Futuristic Retro will be sponsoring the first ever Master Class. This is for new entries painted by past NRA Best of Show winners. It's also the only award Master Class entries will be competing for.
Other public vote awards are:
Best Little Hottie for the best small scale entry that's up to 120 mm. Sponsored by the CBA.
Best Embodiment of the Flintstone Spirit for the model Jimmy would like the best.
Best of Show sponsored by Jimmy Flinstone.
Sponsors Choice Awards this year are:
Best Filmy Style sponsored by Filmy's Girls/Futuristic Retro
Best Girl with a Weapon sponsored by Arsenal Models
Best Girlie Girl sponsored by Phil O'Girl
And yes, it's not about porn, mutilation or violence against women. Part of the agreement with the Wonderfest folks is that the show flies under the radar. Controversy and "making a statement" can threaten the show's very existence. So, if that's what you're thinking of doing, we respectfully ask that you choose another of the great events on Saturday night at Wonderfest. Feel free to work with the Wonderfest folks to get your own show for that.
Looking forward to seeing the great entries this year!
That's all from Phil for now.

Re: N. R. A.
I think I might actually have an entry this year.... seeing that it is separate from the main WF contest... what is the fee to enter a model?

Are kits entered exclusively in the NRA or in the general contest as well?

Re: N. R. A.
NRA kits are exclusive to it only... once you enter kits in the main contest (which doesn't allow nudity anyway) you can't (if I remember correctly) remove them from there until the end of the show.... or at least if you do I know they don't let you put them backffolkes75 wrote:Are kits entered exclusively in the NRA or in the general contest as well?

Re: N. R. A.
Good question.
Wonderfest did have an adult category but had to isolate it from the general public and hire a guard to protect the world from resin breasts. Stated more seriously, the WF admins see the value of the show being family friendly.
The last year for the Adult Category had only one entry. The NRA popped up as a low-cost for the show solution. Hence the under-the-radar and after-hours aspects. Participation has increased from a handful the first year to almost 39 entries last year.
Over the years, there have been lots of entries that would be very acceptable in the regular contest. A quick cruise through the contest galleries will show that. http://tagteamhobbies.com/toms/cba/bioartsGallery.html Last year's Best of Show was on display in on the staff tables in the regular contest room. (Keep in mind for the moment that staff displays don't' get judged.)
The problem here would be two-fold: the logistics of getting the build up in and out of the contests room compounded by the fact that contest judging coincides with the NRA.
Also, NRA results aren't announced during the awards assembly. So, if you like that public exposure, and your girl isn't too exposed, the regular contest is your best bet.
