LED Lighting

#1 Post by sideshowtony »

Hi:

Thought I'd post this over here as well...

My son is currently working on the Moebius Green Lantern kit and he was interested in putting a small LED light in it to make the transparent plastic pieces brighten a bit more. I've never worked with LEDs but was hoping someone might have an easy fix or suggestion. Thanks.

Try modeltrainsoftware dot com. They have everything you'll need; LED's, wire, battery hook ups, switches, etc..

This is exactly what you need... no soldering... just put in place... position the switch and VIOLA... instant light inside your kit:

Comes exactly as you see it here... all prewired, soldered, and includes a button cell battery! If you want a color other then the white they provide, just say so in the comments at the checkout and they will have no problems with changing the color at all!

I know right... Evan Designs that started putting these together is a god send for all us modelers and I can't praise him enough! Everything arrives in nice neat little baggies that work as soon as you hook up the battery straight from the package. I have never had a problem with anything I've gotten from him and you don't know how many hours he's saved me from having to soldier and calculate amps/volts/ohms. He even showed that you can hook up close to 50 LEDs to a single 9v battery! Amazing!

I know I can't use superglue on LEDs...how about Testors Cement for Plastic Models?

Ummm...why can't you use superglue?
I used superglue on a terminator kit that I built nearly 15 years ago to hold the eye in place, and it's still working fine...I'll admit I didn't know any better, but did I do something wrong?
