Final Vampirella Project - UPDATE

Re: Final Vampirella Project
Looking good! It's quite an undertaking, but very well worth the effort. I enjoyed doing a similar treatment to my Vampi kit.

Thanks everyone for viewing and your feedback! Now comes more fun....I need to make her look like she's positioned correctly. Here's another group of WIP pics...

Re: Final Vampirella Project
As mentioned by ffolkes75 I need to get her positioned on the casket so that she looks somewhat correct. I started this process by cutting her arm. I'll use a custom arm bracelet to replace the original.ffolkes75 wrote:Always one for the appreciation of customizing kits! Looking great so far. I see the biggest challenge at this point is "landing" her on the coffin. She was sculpted with her upper torso laying on a pile of some kind of debris. So you either need to do a bit of cut and reposition of her, or add in something for her to land on... a pillow, pile of fabric. Looking very cool so far!

Now that I have her arm cut to size I'll start doing surgery on her beautiful legs. See the doted lines.....lol

Re: Final Vampirella Project
I need to re-position her legs so that it gives the total allusion she's lying on the casket. After getting everything cut I'll pin her legs and finish with some putty and a lot of sanding and shaping. I'm far from done I still need to work on her arms too...

Okay...I think this looks far better than where I originally started. Time to move on and maybe work a little more on her hair. More to come

Nostalgia can be a bad thing, especially when you are led by it.

Love this kit, but always hated how she was cast into the base. Great work so far!

Re: Final Vampirella Project
Hello to all!
It's been some time since posting any new progress photos. I appreciate all who have viewed, and have taken the time to offer your thoughts...thanks everyone! Just a few quick photos to share at this time. I plan to post a few more detailed pics soon. Besides adding a new custom arm bracelet, I added a ring and a wrist bracelet too.

Very nice.
Love the whole piece, and the scratch-built coffin REALLY adds to this.
All the effort paid off
